First Impressions
The Lancero is beautifully rolled with a dark, elegant wrapper and excellent firmness throughout. Pre-light aroma shows cocoa, cedar, and earth with a little spice at the foot. Cold draw is slightly snug but flavorful, already showing chocolate and pepper.
Smoking Experience
First Third β Opens with dark chocolate and earth right away, with a peppery lift on the retrohale. Smoke is cool and concentrated, exactly what you want from a Lancero.
Second Third β Cedar becomes more defined and the pepper settles into balance. The profile feels richer and denser than the softer Tatuaje lines.
Final Third β Strength deepens and the earth-dark cocoa core stays intact. One correction is needed to keep the burn aligned, but flavor remains excellent.
Pairings
Alcohol β Armagnac Janneau XO - Deep dried fruit, oak, and spice fit perfectly with the cigarβs dark chocolate, cedar, and earthy richness.
Tea β Taiwan Ruby 18 Black Tea - Naturally minty, sweet, and full-bodied, giving lift and clarity to the cigarβs darker profile.
Music Pairing
βAtmosphereβ β Joy Division
Dark, elegant, and controlled β a great match for the Lanceroβs serious profile.
Final Thoughts
Tatuaje La Riqueza No. 6 Lancero delivers exactly what the line promises β richness, depth, and excellent concentration in a thinner format. Dark chocolate, earth, cedar, and pepper stay in balance throughout, with only one small correction keeping it from a perfect score.
Final Score: 9/10
